SBE

It's rainy early in the morning of the 1st day of SBE.28 September 2009 at 7.00 a.m, I went to SK Merbau, only 5 minutes from my house by car. Am I too early or too late? Pupils still run here and there at 7.00. What time actually the school start?? 5 minutes later, my friend, Sarini came. One woman came near and asks, “Are u KPLI student also?” “Yes, I’m here for SBE.” I said. She is a KPLI student from IPGM Kampus Sarawak, Miri. Just in the city. Then, we were going to meet the headmaster for the 1st time. Went to the office and tell teacher in the office that we want to meet GB (short name for Guru Besar). The teacher said that they had assembly for a while. Ermm,,I wondered where and how assembly will be done. It is still raining outside there. No pupils gather at the field for assembly. Oh my god. Where assembly will be done?

Teachers there keep talking to each other. Suddenly, “Negaraku, Tanah Tumpahnya darahku, Rakyat hidup bersatu dan maju, rahmat bahgia tuhan kurniakan, raja kita selamat bertakhta.” Ermm..My friends and I stand up immediately when heard Negaraku was played. Oh, this is the assembly that the teacher said just now. But, where were the pupils? Ooooo..They are in the class. Just in their own class with their class teacher. After sang National anthem, state anthem and recite doa, the teachers give announcement. Then, it’s GB’s turn to talk to the student. He greets the student “Selamat pagi” and all the student in the school answered GB from their class “Selamat pagi, cikgu.”..Wow..This thing is new for me. The student does not see their headmaster, but they still answered their GB’s greeting. ‘Really good student,’ I think. Before this, if it is rainy day, the assembly will be cancelled, but for this school, it still going on with other strategies. It’s really good and effective because any important thing for student will be announce to them every week.

ermm..enough till here..lack of ideas..=(..to be continued..

p/s: No excuse for no assembly. Maybe this way can be implement to other school. All the best.=)...
